Homo Sapiens Sapiens
I dream of purple mornings
Daily striking onwards through the mystic night
Never before have I seen in my thoughts such hybrid breathing
Revelations...who doesn't?
A personal sailing boat coming out of the island
A private inner sanctuary where we become masters
& apprentices
& gods
The social giant factory produces incomplete dreams
Followed by all those who are worms
There's so many of them out there
Are you one of them?
Aren't we all?
Human, I mean.
Human? Where?
I don't know, we just gotta go.
A piece of virgin paper claimed the touch
Of a lonely starving pen
Black rivers of forgotten insight flow
Endlessly through the warm night
Light singing from the ancient moon
To a gutter sea sailed by the midnight creatures
The ones who don't know
The blind ones who just eat what they're given
Getting fatter for the big slaughter
At the end of the road
At the end of their lives
They never get to see the movie
Or choose the title
They just roam and foam and moan
And smile when they get what they want
Creatures that never got what they need
Feeding each other with their own hunger
I want to swim out of the mud
Bubbles in my blood
Inhale all you can
We're about to dive into the abyss
We'll never come back
Although we've never left.
