Brain Damage

Ha!, doors of perception?

Look at it,
Insignificant
In all its apparent beauty
Deadly
In its convenient waste

No!, doors of contraction

Nothing to do besides waiting
And never have I shown a deeper respect for Time
I walk the halls, mystified inside the grey morning
Which whispers trails of imprisoned lunacy
An early rise gave birth to inutility,
While announcing the first letter of the alphabet
The letter "A", which I quietly proclaim in a yawn
I still feel the fragments of the latest dreams
Visions that kept moving for a five-hour sleep
It's fertile in its monotony
All the rats and worms inside wander
Nowhere to go
Except heading for the next second
The next minute
The next hour
What for, we ask?
To hear the speeches
Of anti-knowledge, the sliding propaganda
Dictators who speak without rhyme or reason
They sell themselves, proud of their treason
Indifference saves my madness
Peacefully preserved in all its confusion
Still shining due to immortal thoughts
Never raped by the worms in there
I'm glad my world is light years away
Of all this muddy womb of decay
I care not for such a place
Although tied to a building ungraced
I gently stir my sleepy face
It goes on and on, until I find the key
The key to my releasing
The key to get out
To search for other prisons
Castles made of sand...

So I play the game called "Go Insane"
I know the rules which gave it fame...
...I nest apocalypse in my brain.
