From The Shadows

The Shadows (left to right): Bruce Welch, Tony Meehan, Jet Harris, Hank B. Marvin
Never have I heard such an individual, like Hank Marvin of The Shadows, use his fingers with a guitar to describe the best that a melody has to offer. A guitar god, for sure. And I speak of him not because Hendrix, Page, Gilmour, Blackmore and all the others aren't as good. It's just so that people don't forget this man, Hank Marvin, one of my first guitar heroes.
The Shadows have spawned so many hits that I can't expose them all. Here are a few:
"Apache"
"F.B.I."
"Man Of Mystery"
"Theme for Young Lovers"
"Peace Pipe"
"Wonderful Land"
"Theme from The Deer Hunter"
"The Savage"
"Dance On"
"Nivram"
"Guitar Tango"
"Geronimo"
...and many, many others.
The Shadows are also one of the first musical impressions I had as a child. Therefore, this post is dedicated to Hank Marvin and the rest of The Shadows.
